Airline was established by an american Elmer J Faucett and group of Peruvian businessmen. Operations started September 15 1928, making Faucett one of the oldest airlines in the world. In its beginning airline served domestic market with Stinson Detroiters. After the World War II Douglas products DC-3, DC-4 and DC-6 were used. In April 1968 first jet, a Boeing 727 secondhand from Braniff, was delivered. In 1971 BAC 111 was acquired. Airline focused on domestic market and also provided charter cargo and passenger service abroad. Panama and Miami were served frequently using Douglas DC-8s in cargo configuration. In 1982 Aeronaves del Peru took controlling interest in the airline. Faucett declared bankruptcy in November 1999 and liquidated thereafter.
