National airline of Morocco founded as CCTA when Societte Air Atlas and Avia Maroc Aerienne merged. Airline changed its name to Royal Air Maroc in June 1957 when Morocco became independent nation. Royal Air Moroc operated domestic service, European and Middle East flights as well as New York and Montreal in North America and Abidjan, Bamako, Libreville, Niamey, Conakry and Dakar in west Africa.
