Japan Air Lines subsidiary LCC carrier with its own AOC (Jul 5 2019). Company is on schedule to start operations in May 2020. Initially Bangkok and Seoul (Incheon) will be served from its base at Narita using Boeing 787-8s transferred from JAL. Passenger operations commenced on October 16 2020 when a Boeing 787 (JA825J) took off from Tokyo Narita headed for Seoul Incheon with only 2 passengers aboard. Airline already operated few cargo flights over the summer. Vancouver service introduced in March 2024
