Founded in 1980 as a government owned domestic flights company. In the beginning, flights to Farquhar, Desroches, Coetivy, Remire, Marie Louise were operated by Air Seychelles and the air wing of the Seychelles People’s Defence Forces (SPDF). IDC’s flight operation started with the purchase of its first aircraft in 1985 ‒ the Cessna Caravan 2(F406) with a capacity to carry 10 passengers. First Beechcraft 1900 was delivered in 1998.
