Sunstate Airlines (Mildura) began operation where Murray Valley Airlines left off: linking flights from Mildura to Melbourne, Adelaide, Renmark and Broken Hill. Australian Airlines acquired Sunstate in October 1990, and rebranded Sunstate Airlines (Mildura) as Southern Australia Airlines on January 1, 1992. In 2002 Southern Australia was merged into Eastern Australia Airlines and rebranded as QantasLink.
