First post-war era airline to be established in Tokai region. Until 1988, company only operated as Naka Nihon Air Service (Middle Japan Air Service) providing air taxi, flight training, survey and sight seeing flights. Company also provides ground handling at Nagoya International airport. In May 1988 scheduled passenger feeder operations for ANA started as NAL Nakanihon Airlines. New company was created as a joint venture of Nagoya Railroad and ANA and was operated by Nakanihon Air Service. When Chubu Central International airport opened in 2005, Nakanihon Airlines changed name to Air Central. Air Central operations were merged in October 2010 with Air Next and Air Nippon to form ANA Wings regional airline. Naka Nihon Air Service continues to provide Executive jet charters, air taxi and medical transport flights using fixed and rotaty wing aircraft as well as ground handling operations at Chubu Central.
