Synergy Group which also owns Avianca of Colombia, TACA of Salvador and OceanAir of Brazil acquired over the years majority shares in AeroGal. This brought new investment and expansion strategy which included modernization of the fleet and acquisition of long-haul jets Boeing 767 and 757. International destinations Bogota, New York and Miami were added to its schedule.
