note
In 1986, CP Air purchased a 35% stake in the failing Quebecair. In 1987, after CP Air was acquired by PWA and Canadian Airlines was formed, Quebecair was renamed Inter-Canadien. In late 1989 Inter-Canadien cancelled its code share agreement with Canadian Airlines and rebranded itself as Intair. The airline came under the control of Canadian Regional Airlines, and on June 1, 1991, the name Inter-Canadien was revitalized. In 1994, Canadian Regional took 100% ownership of the airline. Inter-Canadien suspended operations in December 1999, concurrent with the collapse of its code-share partner, Canadian Airlines International.
