World's largest private rescue service company founded by Sophus Falck. Falcks operates Ambulance service in 14 countries as well as private fire fighting service. In Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Estonia, Falck provides roadside assistance. In 1947 company operated its first ambulance airplane.
In 1960s Falck Air, aviation subsidiary of the company, operated scheduled service between Odense and Copenhagen. In 1969, Maersk bought this operation to start its own airline business.
