Low cost medium and long haul airline founded in November 2011. A subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, Scoot started operations on June 4th 2012 using Boeing 777s to Sydney. Tianjin, Bangkok and Gold Coast are other planned destinations.
SIA Engineering will provide MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) services.
In July 2014 Scoot launched joint venture with Nok Air (Thailand), NokScoot.
Scoot took over Singapore based low cost airline Tigerair Singapore in Jul 2017 retaining the Scoot brand but using Tigerair AOC and both IATA and ICAO codes.
Airline serves Berlin and Athens in Europe.
