Regional airline based in Cootamundra NSW. Masling Airlines was founded by Jack Masling who was distributor of Piper , Embraer and Cessna aircraft in Australia and Papua New Guinea since mid 1950s. Masling operated scheduled service throughout New South Wales and Canberra. In 1980 it acquired Aeropelican Air which was also based in New South Wales but at Newcastle's Belmont Airport. Masling sold Aeropelican in 1981. Masling was sold and incorporated into Ansett in 1982. At its height, Masling handled 200,000 passengers annually and employed 170 people. Masling Industries however continues to operate as maintenance and distributor of helicopters and today focuses on turbine engine maintenance.
