CDR KI Canadian Regional Airlines Canadian Regional Canada

note

Canadian Regional Airlines was formed as a subsidiary of Canadian Airlines International as a holding company for the airline's owned regional carriers. In January 1991 it acquired a 100% interest in Time Air and Ontario Express. On March 31, 1993 both airlines began trading as Canadian Regional, but continued to operate separately. In July 1998, Ontario Express was merged into Canadian Regional. Also, Inter-Canadien briefly became a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian Regional, but was sold in September 1998. Canadian Regional was acquired by Air Canada Regional in January 2001, and was merged into the carrier in the following year.
