Midwest Express Connection was a brand name used in 1989 for regional services operated for Midwest Express Airlines. Regional services for Midwest Express were traded as Skyway Airlines, however, when the parent name was changed to Midwest Airlines, the regional operation began trading as Midwest Connect. On October 1, 2007, Skywest Airlines began operating some Midwest Connect services, then assumed all operations on April 5, 2008 with the shutdown of Skyway. Following the acquisition of Midwest by Republic Airlines, Midwest Connect operations were operated by Chautauqua Airlines.
