note
Flagship Airlines was created by the merger of AMR owned Command Airways and Nashville Eagle. The merger created a regional carrier with extensive operations in the northeastern US, as well as at American's Raleigh/Durham and Nashville hubs. In 1998, it was merged with Simmons Airlines and Wings West Airlines to form American Eagle Airlines.
